TL;DR: Three cosy mocktails—pumpkin-ginger moon milk, sparkling apple-ginger fizz, and a chamomile-pear cooler—made to be kind to your stomach and perfect for a light, fun shroom night. No alcohol, just warm flavours and easy comfort.
Not everyone wants a cocktail on Halloween. If you’re planning a small, mushroom-friendly evening, these drinks keep the vibe festive without piling on sugar or booze. They’re soothing, simple to make, and designed to sit nicely alongside a tiny dose—so you can enjoy the glow without the churn.

1) Pumpkin-Ginger Moon Milk (hot or iced)
Creamy, spiced, and calming—like pumpkin pie that decided to become a hug.
Makes: 2 mugs
Ingredients
- 2 cups (480 ml) oat milk (or milk of choice)
- 3 tbsp smooth pumpkin purée (not pie filling)
- 1–1½ tbsp honey (to taste)
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger (or ½ tsp ground)
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- Pinch nutmeg + pinch sea salt
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Whisk everything in a small pot over medium heat until steamy (don’t boil), 4–6 minutes.
- Froth with a whisk or blender for 10–15 seconds until velvety.
- Pour into warm mugs. For iced: cool, pour over ice.
Make it yours
- Extra-calming: add a chamomile tea bag while heating, then remove.
- Dairy-free sweetener swap: maple syrup instead of honey works beautifully.

2) Sparkling Apple-Ginger Honey Fizz
Bright and bubbly with a ginger backbone—festive and refreshing without the crash.
Makes: 2 tall glasses
Ingredients
- 1 cup (240 ml) fresh apple cider (unfiltered if you can find it)
- ½ cup (120 ml) strong ginger tea (steep 2 bags in ½ cup hot water, 5–7 min, then chill)
- 1 tbsp honey + squeeze of lemon (optional, to taste)
- 1½ cups (360 ml) chilled sparkling water
- Ice + thin apple slices for garnish
Instructions
- In a jug, combine chilled ginger tea, apple cider, and honey; stir to dissolve.
- Fill glasses with ice, pour the mix halfway, top with sparkling water, and add a thin apple slice.
Make it yours
- Extra zing: grate a touch of fresh ginger right into the glass.
- No lemon? Skip it—this is lovely with just cider and ginger.

3) Chamomile-Pear Cooler (warm or room-temperature)
Soft, floral, lightly sweet—the definition of “gentle.”
Makes: 2–3 cups
Ingredients
- 2 chamomile tea bags
- 2 cups (480 ml) hot water
- 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
- 1–2 tbsp honey (to taste)
- Tiny pinch sea salt
- Optional: 1 sprig fresh rosemary (remove before serving)
Instructions
- Add pear slices to a heatproof jug. Pour in hot water, add tea bags, steep 6–8 minutes.
- Remove tea bags, stir in honey and a tiny pinch of salt.
- Serve warm, or let it settle to room temperature for an ultra-soft sip. Strain if you prefer.
Make it yours
- Cosy twist: add a small piece of fresh ginger while steeping for extra warmth.
When to sip (so everything feels easy)
- Before: Have a light meal 1–2 hours ahead. Start with the chamomile-pear or pumpkin moon milk if your stomach runs sensitive.
- During: Keep the apple-ginger fizz nearby for gentle hydration and a little sparkle.
- After: Wind down with a small, warm pour of pumpkin-ginger moon milk or the chamomile-pear cooler.
